This Privacy Agreement explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information in connection with your use of the Sahos mobile application (the "App"). As a coffee brewing companion designed for family baristas, Sahos is committed to providing a privacy-friendly experience, with no account login required and minimal data collection to ensure you can focus on mastering your coffee craft with peace of mind.
By using the Sahos App, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Agreement. We will never sell your personal information to third parties, and we only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide and improve our coffee brewing services.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
One of Sahos' core privacy principles is minimizing data collection. Unlike many mobile applications, we do not require or collect the following personal information:

- Timer usage history for different brewing methods (V60, Aeropress, Chemex)

- Completed brewing challenges and earned tokens
- Favorite recipes and brewing methods
This data is used solely to personalize your brewing laboratory experience and help you track your progress as a home barista.
3.2 Token System Data
Our in-app token system tracks:
- Token balance (earned or purchased)
- Unlocked advanced content (espresso, cold brew, siphoning guides)
- Token redemption history
This information is stored locally on your device to maintain your access to premium brewing content without requiring account login.
3.3 App Usage Data (Optional)
If you opt-in to help us improve the App, we may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as:
- Most used brewing methods
- Time spent on different App features
- Technical performance data (App crashes, feature errors)
This data is completely anonymous, cannot be traced back to individual users, and is only used to enhance the App's functionality and user experience. You can opt out of this anonymous data collection at any time in the App settings.
4. How We Use Your Local Data
The locally stored data on your device is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To provide personalized brewing recommendations based on your preferences
- To track your progress in mastering different coffee brewing techniques
- To maintain your token balance and access to unlocked premium content
- To display your brewing history and laboratory data
- To remember your favorite recipes and brewing settings
- To improve the App's performance and fix technical issues (anonymous data only)
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Local Storage
All your brewing data is stored locally on your mobile device using standard secure storage mechanisms provided by your device's operating system (iOS/Android). You have complete control over this data and can delete it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
5.2 Data Backup (Optional)
If you choose to back up your brewing data (e.g., through your device's cloud backup service), Sahos is not responsible for the security of data stored on third-party cloud services. We recommend enabling device encryption to protect your brewing data.
5.3 Security Measures
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the App and any anonymous data we may collect, including:
- Secure coding practices to prevent unauthorized access
- Regular security updates to address potential vulnerabilities
- Encryption for any data transmitted between your device and our servers (anonymous usage data only)
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your locally stored data. You are responsible for securing your mobile device with passcodes, biometrics, or other security measures.
6. Third-Party Services
Sahos may integrate with limited third-party services to enhance your coffee brewing experience. We only work with trusted providers who adhere to strict privacy standards:
- Analytics Services: We may use anonymous analytics tools to understand how users interact with the App and identify areas for improvement. These tools do not collect personal information and only provide aggregated, anonymous insights.
- In-App Purchase Providers: If you choose to purchase tokens, transactions are processed through your device's official app store (Apple App Store, Google Play Store). We do not receive or store your payment information, which is handled entirely by the app store provider.
- Content Delivery Networks: We may use CDNs to deliver brewing guides and recipe content efficiently. These services only collect technical data necessary for content delivery, not personal information.

7. Your Privacy Controls
You have complete control over your data when using Sahos:
- Data Deletion: You can delete all locally stored brewing data at any time through the App's settings menu or by uninstalling the App from your device.

- Backup Control: You decide whether to back up your brewing data to cloud services, and can revoke this permission at any time.
- Token Management: Your token balance is stored locally, and you can reset your token progress if desired.
8. Children's Privacy
Sahos is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has used the App and stored data locally, we recommend that a parent or guardian review and manage that data as appropriate.
9. Changes to This Privacy Agreement
We may update our Privacy Agreement from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Agreement within the App and updating the effective date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Agreement periodically for any changes.
